Background/Question/Methods
Research on humans and the Earth system historically occurred separately, with different teams and models devoted to each. Tony Janetos and other colleagues recognized, however, that these communities and models were becoming increasingly and intricately linked, with significant consequences for our ability to predict the large climate system and carbon cycle.
Results/Conclusions
This talk focuses on one of the first efforts to combine human (integrated assessment) and Earth System Models into a single computational framework, and the consequences of this work.
