INS 13 Abstract - From ecology to engagement in Indiana: How I found and used support networks for engagement on climate change

I have studied how plants and soils respond to environmental changes for many years. More recently, I have been trying to adopt a new role, engaging with the broader public about the implications of climate change. Many people have taught me important lessons about climate change communication, and engagement more generally, and I’m still learning. I will share some of the ways in which I have broadened my engagement toolkit (and support network), and some of the experiences I have had trying to engage with different non-academic groups in Indiana.
