NEON, the National Ecological Observatory Network, is fully operational. As an NSF large facility, NEON is poised to be a resource for your research and teaching endeavors.  This first-of-its-kind ecological observatory is now providing standardized, open access data from 81 field sites across the U.S., “assignable assets” to supplement NEON site data or data collection at your research sites, and a new Biorepository for NEON collected samples and specimens based at Arizona State University. What resources are available for free from NEON? How much does it cost to have NEON collect remote sensing data over my field site? Can NEON field scientists help collect my data for me at NEON sites? Can I put my sensors on your towers? How do I access NEON-collected samples and specimens? Are there workshops or tutorials to help me manage and use NEON data? There is a growing community of users, funded by a diversity of mechanisms, that are excited to share their experiences and ideas about using NEON resources. This panel-discussion style workshop will feature information about all of these NEON resources, use cases from PIs using them in their research and teaching programs, and plenty of time for questions and discussion.

Registration Fee: $0
