Science is fun and science is everywhere! But… how do we ensure that K-12 students and the general public get and stay excited about science? Two outreach programs designed to achieve these goals will be presented: (1) “Science Cultivates Academically Talented Students (SciCats)”, a program designed for K-12 students to learn science through engaging weekly hands-on experiments designed and taught by University PharmD and graduate students, and (2) the “Everything is Science” Festival, a week of storytelling about diverse research topics presented by faculty, students, patients/doctors teams, company researchers, K-12 teachers, etc, in bars and restaurants in Lexington, KY.
