We often hear that relationship building is a fundamental aspect of forming and sustaining community-university partnerships. But we don’t often focus on how to support and fund the necessary relationship building of research partnerships. Seed funding is a concept we’re all familiar with, but seeds need soil to grow. This inspire talk is a call to support community-university partnerships with soil funding – funding that supports relationship building, connecting, and a deeper understanding between universities and communities so that when seeds are planted, they have a better chance of thriving.
