Environmental policy: What's science got to do with it? The value of a Knauss Sea Grant Fellowship

When I applied to the Knauss Fellowship program, I doubted that value of my background for a marine science policy fellowship. This has not been true since day one of my fellowship program, and there are many skills we learn as scientists, especially ecologists, that are relevant to the day-to-day of environmental policy in congress.
