Making it to the executive sweet spot: Experiences as a Presidential Management Fellow

The Presidential Management Fellowship targets individuals from a broad array of disciplines and provides opportunities for recent graduates (within 2 years) to enter the federal government and begin a career as a public servant. It presents incredible professional development opportunities to explore career possibilities beyond being a scientist and into the realm of supporting, utilizing, and applying science. The fellows are predominately not scientists which gives me a great chance to step beyond the world of scientists, learn about federal government, and be part of a cohort unified by a spirit of service and not just discovery and curiosity.
