Archiving your research data into a repository is becoming increasingly important in the field of ecology. Data archive not only provides a secure place to store your data, but also allows data sharing among peers who are interested in your research. As more and more journals require data archive during the manuscript submission process, you need to learn about data archive. It is easier than you expect!

In this workshop, we have assembled a group of data experts from LTER (Long-Term Ecological Research) and EDI (Environmental Data Initiative) to demonstrate several common methods of archiving your data, and to answer questions you may have. The methods for data archive could be as simple as filling out an online form, or as complicated as getting your metadata into an Excel Workbook, followed by running an R script. There are pros and cons for each of these methods and we will help you locate the best one for your purpose.

Registration Fee: $0
