The Applied Ecology Section (AEC) of the ESA has a long history of commitment to and promoting community engagement, knowledge sharing and outreach, inclusion and public service. Working alongside the community and other sections, like Human Ecology and Justice, AEC continues to leave a legacy across the nation and the world. Events like Bioblitzs and other community events at the ESA sites are just some of the examples that illustrate AEC’s strong support for the Human Dimensions and its commitment to inspiring a culture within the ESA of ethical principles of working with local communities as well as internally.
