There is broad scientific consensus on the reality of climate change and the short- and long-term risks that climate change poses. And while communities, states, and nations are responding to the climate challenge, there is still much work to be done in identifying promising solutions, sharing successes, and inspiring wider-scale action. Through his work as an advisor and author on the U.S. National Climate Assessment and advisor to the American Association for the Advancement of Science’s How We Respond project, Tony Janetos empowered communities to understand and respond to climate change and mentored the next generation of climate response leaders.
