Scientists have many different options when thinking about ways to reach non-science audiences. As sharing science via social media becomes a staple mode of outreach, scientists need to understand attractive and effective ways in which to connect with their audience. In this interactive workshop, participants will learn about, 1) different types of social media used by scientist, 2) how to use multimedia to convey a message, and 3) how to combine multi- and social media to communicate science to broad and diverse audiences.
