The field experience is an integral part of training for earth and environmental disciplines yet we need to foster inclusive experiences in field settings. The complex global challenges and stewardship of natural resources need diverse voices and perspectives and the participation of a broader audience. Underrepresented minorities and millennial students interested in sustainability see value in combining efforts to make a difference for humanity while performing scientific work. This inspire section will focus on the culture of the field experience and how bias and inclusion issues are important for field experiences and how we engage nonparticipants in a field experience?
