INS 13-1 - ESA's evolving public engagement strategy

Why is public engagement important to ESA members? How has ESA traditionally approached public engagement? The society could do more in the areas of training, networking, recognition of member contributions, and integration of PE into ESA activities, but what are the priorities and what resources would be needed? We will offer some answers to these questions based on findings from a workshop at the 2018 ESA Annual Meeting and related ESA strategic planning efforts.
