Starting a field program or natural resources internship can be a trying time for any young professional. However, for many minorities, the experience may add challenges to which supervisors with traditional backgrounds may not be attuned. This presentation highlights some of the challenges and successes described by students as they embarked on field experiences in natural resources and conservation.
