Natural History forms the basis of the varied disciplines in ecology. This Inspire session focuses on how natural history informs and improves technology applications for current ecological studies and plays a significant role in conservation. Natural History is not just a relic of the past, it is integral to the future of ecology. Each 5 minute presentation will highlight an area of research that would not have been possible or has been greatly improved by the study of natural history.

We hope this session brings to light new advances in Natural History, will potentially stir debate, and be a springboard for ideas that will bring Natural History into the digital age. This session is sponsored by the ESA Natural History Section.
