BLUE (Biodiversity Literacy in Undergraduate Education; biodiversityliteracy.com) is a diverse and inclusive network of biodiversity researchers, data scientists, and biology educators focused on data-centric biodiversity education and workforce development. The BLUE network incorporates biodiversity information and data skills into undergraduate education and endeavors to develop competencies, materials, and strategies that infuse biodiversity data into the curriculum, facilitate broad-scale adoption of data literacy competencies, and improve undergraduate biology training to meet increasing workforce demands in data and biodiversity science. We will introduce methods and materials developed by network participants that teach ecoliteracy and data acumen incorporating the 4DEE Framework.
