- What is the manuscript about?: read an abstract and introduce a sample article in small groups, and summarize the topic(s) that the manuscript is about and what its claims are.
- What did they do?: read the methods of the same sample article in small groups, and summarize what the authors did. Review whether the topic(s) and claims are in line with the methods used.
- Reformat the review: mark up a sample review with 3 ways to improve
- What makes good feedback?: poll and group discussion about ideal feedback.
- Action plan: review readiness to start participating in peer review using a checklist.
