INS 1 Abstract - Can art help science in changing minds?

We live in a post-truth world. Emotions, social networks, lifestyle, religion...these can all influence whether someone agrees with scientific fact. Statistics, publications, or arguments may never change someone’s mind. But connecting, engaging, and inspiring reflection—maybe these can. As we face global challenges that require collective action, we need to reach the hearts of science deniers. Sharing facts may never work. But sharing our evidence, inspirations, and views of the world in ways they can touch, feel, or share space with might work. Let’s look at how art is being used to promote conservation and to change minds.
