Description: Join the ESA Communication and Engagement section for a discussion on cultivating a culture of community engagement at ESA annual meetings. The goal of this working group is to discuss and make recommendations regarding how to sustain, support, and institutionalize community engagement activities associated with ESA annual meetings. Many exciting initiatives have been implemented including the Earth Stewardship Initiative, the Extending the Tent Initiative, and various forums, sessions, and socials centered on engagement. The working group will identify points of alignment and opportunities to strengthen engagement activities around ESA annual meetings, as well as opportunities to increase ESA membership and community participation in such activities. We encourage broad participation in the working group, which will include leaders of current and past engagement initiatives within ESA. A complimentary boxed lunch will be provided for the first 30 attendees.
