Do you remember the first time that you visited a National Park? For many participants of the Rocky Mountain Sustainability and Science Network (RMSSN), this is their first experience in the parks, let alone participating in a research team. RMSSN develops diverse students into science leaders who are ready to tackle issues associated with sustainability, biodiversity, and community engagement in the protection of natural resources. This Inspire session will explore the benefits of an ecology-based National Park experience for underrepresented populations, and we will provide tips as to how you can make your projects in the parks more inclusive.
