Curating ecological data for open and reproducible science is increasingly required by funders and journals, and for a traditional ecologist it can be a challenge to meet this obligation. The NSF funded Environmental Data Initiative (EDI) is here to help. EDI’s approach is based on decades of experience and well-tested software. EDI provides online and in-person help, training and documentation, breaking data curation tasks down into a 5-phase system to help anyone -- whether you are an experienced data scientist or not, whether you plan to do the work in your own lab or ask EDI to help.
