Nature can change rapidly. Rapid transitions are seen in a wide range of ecosystems and taxa and at various organizational and spatiotemporal scales. While rapid ecological transitions occur broadly in nature, their study is divided into isolated research areas which often use different terminology and approaches. To set the stage for this inspire session, I will make the argument for why unifying efforts across different research areas is imperative for studying this important dynamic of nature.
