INS 27-1 - From metabolism to ecosystems: Embracing the 25 elements required for life

Twenty-five elements from Cobalt to Zinc

are essential for life, and so one would think

ecologists studying what limits activity,

abundance, and function would have a proclivity

to embrace all the elements, and not just resist’em

but test how the compounds in soil shape their system

providing a template from which to predict

the nature of Nature and what makes it tick.

So come hear our talks, you won’t regret it.

(They’re not about *NP* which gets all the credit.)

Which one do we study? I’ll give you a clue.

You’ll find it in salad, and salary. Salud!
