Got water? Addressing climate change impacts and stakeholder needs in the water-limited Southwest

Water (or lack thereof) serves as a unifying theme throughout our work at the USDA Southwest Climate Hub as we engage with farmers, ranchers, and land managers. Despite decreases in snowpack and thus water availability, increased collaborative capacity among stakeholders, scientists, and communities helps to address impacts on working lands. I will provide a whirlwind tour of some of the Hub’s successful engagement activities and projects highlighting work with Tribal communities, cooperative extension, Farm Service Agency, the National Drought Mitigation Center, and the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow (CoCoRaHs) network.
