Whether you are looking for the next step in your career or for collaborators on a project, your network is an amazing resource. Conferences like this one offer many opportunities to build your network, but capitalizing on these opportunities can be intimidating. Come join us for an opportunity to practice networking and meet other students, post-docs, and early career peers in a fun, relaxed environment.

During this highly interactive workshop, you will learn new strategies for building and maintaining your network, develop your elevator pitch, and review some handy questions to help get you ready for “Science Speed Dating”.

Science speed dating is a lot like traditional speed dating – which means you’ll rotate around the room at intervals to network, with a few minutes in-between to discuss what worked and didn’t work with your networking partner(s). After a few rotations, we’ll break out of small groups for a larger mix and mingle as we wrap up the session. This is going to be a fun and confidence-building workshop designed to help you make the most of your networking opportunities at the ESA annual meeting and beyond.

Registration Fee: $0
