The purpose of this workshop is to help researchers gain a better understanding of putting together a data acquisition system for their specific needs. We will include discussion of various types of sensors, how they work, and what to consider in selecting and deploying a sensor. We will also discuss data logging, power, and communications options to complete a custom data acquisition system. The workshop will conclude with demonstrations and (depending on attendance) hands on experience. Lunch will not be served, bring your own lunch!
